TiVo

PVRblog reports that Microsoft and TiVo will be partnering together..not to work on a PVR together but to make sure that TiVoToGo will work on portable media center devices.  I think this is good news for TiVo.

Hrm..I use to love playing Links LS Golf by Access Software back in the day since Microsoft Golf just couldn't keep up.  Microsoft purchased Access Software in 1999 and took over the Links product and in 2004 made it only on XBox (its good there too but not the same with a controller vs. a mouse).  Now, I've not installed nor used Windows Media Center so I can't compare it to TiVo but I've read enough to know TiVo has the good stuff!  So, if Windows Media Center can't keep up with TiVo or the rest of the PVR market, will we be seeing Microsoft TiVo in the next few years?  I don't think that would be a bad idea as long as what I love about TiVo isn't ripped out and just replaced with Media Center.
