So TiVo was in talks with Comcast to be their "DVR" just as they were for DirecTV...but then they walked away from the deal.  What am I going to do in 2007 when DirecTV stops supporting TiVo?  Comcast cable is a rip-off ($62.40 vs. $44.99) and TiVo is the only DVR with the technology that let's me organize and time-shift my TV watching unless DirecTV's new one does similar functions (which I doubt).  I guess it will be back to rabbit ears since I'm not going to pay for TV I can't watch.

Seriously, we need to bombard DTV with e-mails and letters expressing our outrage over what they are doing. Geesh, we aren't DTV customers - we're TiVo customers. We wouldn't even have satelite (or cable) if it wasn't for TiVo. It's a total waste (like you said) to pay for TV you can't watch.

I can't believe how much TiVo has revolutionized how we watch TV. I agree - back to rabbit ears and playing scrabble :o)
