At the entrance there is a bicycle rack and it is common to see a bicycle or two locked up there...pretty cool. A few times I've seen an electric scooter locked up along with the bicycles. Again, pretty cool - someone living downtown rides their scooter 4-5 miles to save gas, time, etc.. That's not a bad idea and something I could see me looking into if the situation presented itself.

Last week what I thought was pretty cool turned out to be un-cool and kind of George Costanza-ish, if you ask me. As I was walking out to the car, I hear an engine from behind me that sounds like a high powered weed-eater. I turn around and see the guy riding the scooter that was locked up at the bicycle rack. After it has zoomed past me, I just have to watch in awe as the guy pulls up next to his car, lifts the scooter into his trunk, and drives off. I don't know the guy and maybe he needs to get to his car a few minutes faster than the rest of us. Maybe he's got a special need for it (didn't appear that way to me) but I'm going with the George Costanza bit. It's funnier and proves that if we dig we can find a little bit of George Costanza in all of us.

My RSS Feed Has Changed

<trackback:ping>http://blog.eriklane.com/services/trackbacks/4049.aspx</trackback:ping>

As I posted a day or so ago, I've moved my RSS feed over to FeedBurner. I did a make a small change will let you subscribe to a particular category instead of making everyone subscribe to the main feed. Again, your aggregator should automatically pick up the change so there will be nothing new on your part.

I'm in the process of switching my RSS feed over to FeedBurner. In doing so there will only be one feed for my blog. I think most, if not all, just subscribe to the main feed so this may not be a big deal. If you do subscribe to a specific category please let me know and I'll be more than happy to work out a way to keep the category feeds alive.

Also, when I do make the switch you shouldn't have to make any adjustments to your subscription. Your aggregator should pick up the change immediately.

The Seinfeld Story on NBC

<trackback:ping>http://blog.eriklane.com/services/trackbacks/216.aspx</trackback:ping>

I can't believe this is my first post in the Seinfed category...

Everyone by now knows that Seinfeld is finally coming
out on DVD this Thursday. It's been a long time coming especially when
it's now common to see newer shows that aren't that good come out on DVD
pretty fast. My post is really to get the word out that NBC is hosting "The Seinfeld
Story" on Thanksgiving night so set your TiVo and Giddy
Up!

Here's the write up:
10/9pm Thanksgiving Night (Thursday, Nov. 25)
THE SEINFELD
STORY
Jerry Seinfeld hosts this retrospective that takes a look back at the
wildly popular Seinfeld series. The show includes new interviews with all four
original cast members and co-creator Larry David, yada, yada, yada. The special
will be simulcast in High Definition. TV14

Favorite "Lost" Seinfeld episode.

<trackback:ping>http://blog.eriklane.com/services/trackbacks/159.aspx</trackback:ping>

I say this episode is “Lost” only because it doesn't get replayed as some of the more popular episodes. It's very funny and I think it's got some of (if not the) best real acting that Jerry does in the whole series.

The episode is #120 “The Gum”. Set your TiVo's to get this one and catch yourself laughing out loud!!
