Tivo Almost had deal with Comcast

So TiVo was in talks with Comcast to be their "DVR" just as they were for DirecTV...but then they walked away from the deal.  What am I going to do in 2007 when DirecTV stops supporting TiVo?  Comcast cable is a rip-off ($62.40 vs. $44.99) and TiVo is the only DVR with the technology that let's me organize and time-shift my TV watching unless DirecTV's new one does similar functions (which I doubt).  I guess it will be back to rabbit ears since I'm not going to pay for TV I can't watch.

Seriously, we need to bombard DTV with e-mails and letters expressing our outrage over what they are doing.  Geesh, we aren't DTV customers - we're http://www.tivo.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.tivo.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.tivo.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.tivo.com" target="_blank">TiVo customers.  We wouldn't even have satelite (or cable) if it wasn't for http://www.tivo.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.tivo.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.tivo.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.tivo.com" target="_blank">TiVo.  It's a total waste (like you said) to pay for TV you can't watch.

I can't believe how much http://www.tivo.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.tivo.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.tivo.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.tivo.com" target="_blank">TiVo has revolutionized how we watch TV.  I agree - back to rabbit ears and playing scrabble :o)
