My family and I have started attending a new church.  It's totally different from any church I've been to before.  Don't get me wrong, the message is from God's word and it's evident that God is at work....but it's the style that is hard to grasp and be at ease with.  The funny thing is - I love it and so does my wife and kids.

We've been in traditional bible and/or baptist churches and it just takes a while to adjust.  Like this past week's message “The Table” - Ed's message really drove home the purpose that God has laid on his heart for Fellowship.  He said that there is a mixture of three types of people that are in church (at the table to be fed):

  1. Mature Christians
  2. Baby Christians
  3. The hell bound

He said that Fellowship's purpose was to be a place for all three - Build Believers and Serve Seekers.  I guess that's why his messages are so different.  If I were not already a Christian I would feel at ease listenting to his messages but at the same time God spoke to me and I went away feeling fed (I'm between a baby and mature Christian).

If you're ever in the DFW area I want to invite you to attend a service...even on a Saturday night.
